HOW THE LEAGUE WORKS
A brief guide to the planned league. Live competition is not open yet.
Ongoing competition
Artists enter songs in genre divisions, build a division record and compete for that division’s championship. Regular rounds begin Mondays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. Eastern, with monthly special events under their announced rules.
Listen, then score
Hear both songs in full. Score musical idea, arrangement, production and overall enjoyment from 1–5 for each song. All four categories carry equal weight: 20 points per song, eight ratings per paired scorecard. Equal ratings are allowed.
Complete and final
Review before submitting. Submitted scorecards are final. One completed paired scorecard provides one judging contribution; subsequent entries require two distinct completed scorecards. The first entry is exempt, with an availability exception when eligible judging opportunities are insufficient.
Fair participation
Browsing and listening will be open to visitors. Entering, judging and commenting require membership; judging and community posts require a verified email. Listener-only members may judge. Artists cannot judge their own matches.
Results and privacy
Running scores stay hidden until voting closes. Closed results and scorecards are public with judge names hidden. Staff conflicts require independent review. Detailed competition and event rules will accompany the live features.
